More Chain Reaction

25 July 2003

I thought I was finished with Chain Reaction. But shortly after releasing the Java version last week, I got this email from Lee Haywood, author of another version of Chain Reaction:

I like the AI - I actually thought it might beat me, but luckily I won my first game on the 'hard' setting. It's the first time I actually got worried by a computer Chain Reaction player, so thanks. (:

My program was beaten by a mere human. Unacceptable. Announcing Chain Reaction v2.1 with all-new AI. Dodge this.

Update: v2.2 features several performance improvements. Thanks to Lee Haywood for suggesting them.

Update: Three months later "Mad Gapun" of Germany became the first person to beat Chain Reaction's hardest level. Congratulations!
